O REAȘEZARE A TEXTULUI LITURGHIERULUI LUI MACARIE ÎNTR-O EDIȚIE DIGITALĂ
A Reworking of the Text of Macarie's Hieratikon in a Digital Edition

Summary/Abstract: Structured writing is proving to be a highly accepted manifestation today. What are its forms of manifestation, over time, would require, we say, a dedicated studium. We are convinced of the practical usefulness of this phenomenon, and therefore we propose to produce a study and a practical example of what, in the Romanian digital humanities, could be a pioneering issue. However, in the field of old Romanian books, it is a novelty. We are transforming into the most versatile languages, recognizable throughout the world, elements of the first work printed in Romanian, more than half a millennium old: Macarie's Hieratikon. We have at our disposal the derivative of the original copy in the Romanian Academy Library, the translation made in 2008 by the Archdiocese of Târgoviște, in collaboration with the Romanian Academy, and software tools that allow us to carry out this work, using the principles of the Text Encoding Initiative (TEI) and that of a meta-language of text markup recommended by the Web Consortium. The aim is to produce a prototype for a digital edition of Macarie's Hieratikon as a possible starting point for interdisciplinary collaborative work.
