The nominal group in Dosoftei's writings. The noun attribute

Summary/Abstract: The article follows a presentation of the noun phrase in Dosoftei’s writings, focusingon attributes expressed by nouns. After a theoretical description of the syntacticfunction of the attribute and of attributes expressed by nouns in particular, we willtake into account the formal types of attributes expressed by nouns found inDosoftei’s writings, with their construction peculiarities as adjuncts of head nouns:the prepositional attribute expressed by a noun, the attribute expressed by a noun inthe genitive case, the attribute expressed by a noun in the nominative case, theapposition expressed by a noun and the attribute expressed by a noun in the dativecase. The variety of these types of attributes expressed by nouns will reflect thecomplex possibilities of structuring the noun phrase in Dosoftei’s writings, therebyillustrating the diversity of Old Romanian constructions in the corpus to be analyzed.
