Summary/Abstract: The disease represents for the body an aggression with important psychological consequences. On a psychological level, the individual realizes the disease as an aggression, as a stress, as a state of insecurity or disaster. Prior fear is the main element that gives rise to the reaction to stress and, above all, to the affective consequences after the acute period of stress has passed. What is essential in illness is the "anxiety of the moment", the possibility of new complications, the threat of new suffering and even destruction.
