A family foundation as a proposal to secure the property interests of a basic social unit in times of crisis

Summary/Abstract: In this paper, I present the institution of the family and the new institution of the family foundation and then show that this new legal institution was created to safeguard the property interests of the family as the basic unit of society, also under conditions of crisis, albeit with ethical principles in doing so. The study aims to prove that a family foundation is an appropriate proposal for securing the family’s property interests in crisis conditions. Summarizing, therefore, all the circumstances and legal aspects of the operation of a family foundation, it seems reasonable to conclude that the legislative solutions adopted can greatly safeguard family assets in such a legal formula.
