SHORT REVIEW OF ANCIENT EDUCATION MODELS

Summary/Abstract: In this paper two models of ancient education are compared – the Greek and the Roman model. There is a big difference between liberal and professional education. In Ancient Greece and Rome great store was laid upon molding the character and behavior of a young man. Today we have classical grammar schools where young people learn the ancient Greek and Latin language. Education is a key factor in shaping a good moral character.
