Summary/Abstract: Amendment of Article 374 of the Code of Criminal Procedure made by the “Covid Act” of June 19, 2020, made it possible to conduct normal-mode court trials via devices providing remote communication. The article aims to answer the question of whether the remote trial solutions introduced to the Polish criminal proceedings ensure equal treatment for prosecutors and are aimed at adapting the criminal trial to the changing social life and technological development. A research hypothesis says that the current regulations allowing prosecutors to participate in the trial remotely do not treat the parties equally, limit the court’s decision-making power regarding how to conduct the proceedings, and do not allow optimal use of the benefits of new technologies.
