Spare time during the pandemic from the perspective of young people in the last years of the primary school – selected aspects

Summary/Abstract: The objective of the research was to find the answer to the question whether, in the opinion of students in the last years of the primary school, the pandemic was relevant for the diversification and variability of forms of spending spare time by young people and for maintenance of peer-peer relations. The research used the survey method carried out. The conducted study showed that there were changes in terms of the structure and organization of spare time of young people. These changes resulted in a clear deterioration of students’ well-being, linked to the lack of satisfaction due to the altered forms of daily activities. Moreover, most of the respondents experienced a lack of contact with their peers or the possibility of pursuing their passions and interests. It was also found that young people are often not ready for the solitude, which generates non-constructive boredom.
