Summary/Abstract: The paper presents an analysis of the latest Polish lexis related to political and social life. The study covers 1103 units (beginning with the letters A–O) from the dictionary of neologisms of the Linguistic Observatory of the University of Warsaw. The author discusses selected methodological problems related to lexical analysis of neologisms and offers a classification of lexical items into thematic fields. The quantitative load of the lexical fields is examined, with the most and least loaded fields being indicated.
