The Young Liberals Party and some aspects of the Young Turk Revolution during 1908 and 1909

Summary/Abstract: This article traces the main aspects of the attitude of the Young Liberal Party to the Young Turk Revolution in 1908. In principle, the Young Liberals are supporters of good relations with the Turks. In this particular case, they initially welcomed the democratic changes of the Young Turks. Subsequently, some of their actions were criticized because of the offensive against the rights of Bulgarians in Turkey. At the same time, the government of Alexander Malinov is criticized for its “passivity”, which does not always correspond to the truth.
