The use of post-industrial areas and new forms of industry concentration on the example of Wałbrzych

Summary/Abstract: As a result of the 1989 political transformation, a number of industrial centers experienced a crisis in the local economy. One such example is Wałbrzych, in which the restructuring of coal mining and the liquidation of some industrial plants has led to many transformations in the city space. Not all brownfield sites were re-used. Nevertheless, the growth of industrial areas connected with the activity of the Wałbrzych Special Economic Zone Invest-Park is currently observed.
