Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on the identity-creative role of figure characteristics, understoodas a narrative story about a person in relation to Polish studies. The eclecticism andpolymorphism in the school genre of utterance and its pragmatic functions in everydaycommunicative practices. The exemplary ways of modelling didactic situations in order tofunctionalize the characteristics have been shown. The impact of literarily interceded schoolnarrations about the other people for the way of understanding the world and themselvesby the pupils – self-narration, and self-presentation as being perceived in a certain way havebeen discussed as well. The risks and challenges being faced by the Polish school studies inconnection with the possibility of the appearance of unethical narrations concerning figuresboth in real and virtual worlds have been adumbrated.
