Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the problems of small towns on the White Towns Route in Andalusia regarding their tourist values and indicate selected manifestations of globalization in tourism. Small mountain towns located peripherally are often subject to marginalization due to weak economic foundations and a small economic base. Tourism becomes a crucial factor in their development, increasingly undergoing processes of globalization and contributing to greater tourist flows. Research results indicate that the examined group of towns possess both high cultural and natural values. They share several common features that refer to their Arabic origins and strong connections with nature. Manifestations of globalization related to tourism mainly concern the growing adaptation of communication technology and digitization. This includes the widespread use of online reservation and distribution systems for accommodation, tourism marketing promoting the tourist values of towns, and the popularization of centers through social media.
