Summary/Abstract: The aim of the article is to present the main assumptions of protopia as a narrative and political practice on an urban scale. The author presents arguments pointing to the potential effectiveness of this concept of implementing public innovations, the diffusion of which determines the solution to overlapping urban crises, which are a manifestation of global challenges. The proposed interpretation is based on the integral theory of politics, but also refers to the empirical manifestations of the phenomenon in Polish reality.
