SELECTED ASPECTS OF THE SAFETY OF THE MOVEMENT OF THE POLISH ARMED FORCES

Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the article is to present the functioning of the transport of the Polish Armed Forces and the importance of directing the movement of troops in the command process. In the first part of the article, the authors present forms of movement of the Polish Armed Forces. They describe in turn the basic principles of directing and moving army traffi c. In the main part they present aspects of the security of the movement of the Polish Armed Forces by road. To sum up, they indicate that the planning and organization of the relocation of troops are crucial for the safety of movement of military columns. The research problem was formulated: What factors can improve the security of the movement of the Polish Armed Forces? In response to this question, the hypothesis was formulated: Many factors infl uence the improvement of the security of movement of the Polish Armed Forces, including: proper organization and planning of the movement of components of the Armed Forces as well as eff ective training of drivers on which safe transport of troops is based. Verification of the above hypothesis and obtaining answers to the above questions required the use of qualitative methods, including critical analysis of legal acts and selected items of literature on the subject.
