Summary/Abstract: The aim of this article is to discuss the issue of team-based creation and negotiation of meanings by foreigners learning Polish. By analyzing selected fragments of communication exchanges, the author focuses on describing the process of constructing meanings, which lead to mutual understanding of the interlocutors. This shows how skillful use of strategic activities can help to better understand the content of the message therefore; the communication process.
