Summary/Abstract: Emergency remote teaching has become widespread, particularly due to extraordinary circumstances such as the pandemic and natural disasters, which have led to significant changes in education. This situation emphasizes the importance of evaluating the performance of students, teaching materials, teaching strategies, and programs in remote teaching. In this sense, the study aims to examine the effectiveness of foreign language teaching programs in Turkey during emergency remote teaching periods and their impact on student outcomes. This qualitative research, which was conducted on 20 fourth-year students selected through the purposive sampling method from the German and English Language Teaching Programs at Trakya University Faculty of Education, was conducted through semi-structured interviews and focus group discussions. The data obtained were analyzed using content analysis, and various themes were identified. The research aims to contribute to making language teaching programs more effective by identifying strengths and areas for improvement during remote teaching processes. In this context, it is believed that this study, in which the views of teacher candidates are discussed in detail, can be a significant reference for enhancing foreign language teaching programs in emergency remote teaching.
