Summary/Abstract: In the article, the object of research from a structural, managerial and process point of view are two main elements of the organizational infrastructure related to the design and functioning of effective virtual teams – technological and work processes. They are fundamental factors that ensure not only the performance of activities – physical, technical, cultural, social and functional, but also the functioning of adequate resources – human, financial, material and informational. In a virtual context, the structure of work processes largely depends on the technological structure, as it is based on systems that model, control and manage the activity through remote forms and specialized software. Three dimensions of work processes are analyzed: software tools, systems that define the technical architecture and organization of business processes. The focus is on the application and roles of technology in the work processes of virtual teams, which are of higher management complexity and require flexibility and coordination due to geographical and time constraints, discipline, values and cultural differences.
