Summary/Abstract: The modern period is framed between the two world wars, being the one that will mark the perfection of the compositional technique as well as a deepening of the Romanian national specificity. Composers from this period lay the scientific foundations of musical folklore research and its collection, having a decisive role in the evolution of musical creation that used this source in religious processing. From the perspective of approaching musical genres, a preference of composers for miniature choral works can be noted.
