MOMENTS FROM THE HISTORY OF REȘIȚA CHORAL MUSIC

Summary/Abstract: The history of universal culture includes events, personalities and institutions that define the spirit of an epoch, respectively of a space. A true history of culture cannot be written without its specific institutions: schools, churches, monasteries, theaters, museums, houses of culture, libraries, publishing houses. In Banat, the representative pages of the history of culture could not be reconstructed without the “Mihai Eminescu” theater from Oraviţa, the oldest in the country, without the multiethnic theater of Timişoara, without the Banatul State Philharmonic, without the vocational schools from Timișoara, Resița, Lugoj, without the amateur theaters from the whole region, without the Banat Museum or without the Banat Mountain Museum from Resita, without the Timişoara branch of the Writers' Union.
