Summary/Abstract: The first archaeological excavations which have been carried out at the church of Saint Nicolas (albanian: Shën Kolli) in Lezhë, were only partial. On the other side, it should be mentioned that these were realized even under a time pressure since was going to celebrate in Tirana the 500th anniversary of the death (14.01.1968) of our national hero Gjergj Kastrioti-Skënderbeu.
