Summary/Abstract: The study examines the topic of job satisfaction and engagement, and their interrelationships in the telecommunications sector and in the reality of rapid digitalization. It discusses the role of job satisfaction of the content and meaning of work, as well as the induction, training and development of employees in this sector. Various aspects of satisfaction in this business sector are described, as well as their impact and relationship to engagement. A study of a company in the telecommunications sector with 258 respondents is presented. The analysis shows that job content satisfaction and job importance have the strongest correlation with engagement in the telecommunications sector (0.674; p<0.001). A strong correlation was also found between satisfaction with job induction and engagement (0.614; p<0.001), and between satisfaction with training and development opportunities in the organisation and overall job engagement (0.589; p<0.001). Relationships related to satisfaction with social relationships at work and the role of direct supervisors were reported. Significant correlation was not found only for satisfaction with remuneration. The results of the regression analysis show that job relevance and job content are the strongest factor explaining about 41% of total employee engagement. Discussion, possible actions in organizations and recommendations are also presented.
