Summary/Abstract: The present research is based on an analysis of the Pashoptist period, from which we selected the necessary examples to demonstrate that the poets of that time anticipated by their creations something of the fervor of the symbolists, announcing another poetic language. The lyrical labor of the first Romanian poets contributes to the affirmation of their literary individuality, incorporating the obscure energies of a century of amplified poetic experiments, transferred into artistic material. At the origin of these creators’ daring and lyrical obsessions are the dark past, the revolutionary present and the ever troubled future, communicating inner structures and spiritual horizons specific to the next literary moments.
