Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to verify the psychometric properties of the Everyday Discrimination Scale (EDS) and the Heightened Vigilance Scale (HVS). The scales were administered to adult individuals (n = 248) aged 21 to 59 years. Of the total number of respondents, 93,1% were women. A confirmatory factor analysis of CFA was used, using method DWLS, with assessment of fit indices. The reliability of the instruments was verified using Cronbach's α and McDonald's ω coefficients. Based on statistical analyses, it was found that the data adequately describe both models, and the results supported the one-factor structure of the Slovak version of the EDS Scale, χ2 (5) = 0,435; p = 0,994; RMSEA = 0,001 (90% CI 0,001 – 0,001); CFI = 1,000 a TLI = 1,000, and the two-factor structure of the Slovak version of the HVS Scale, χ2 (7) = 11,612; p = 0,114; RMSEA = 0,052 (90% CI 0,001 – 0,102); CFI = 0,997 a TLI = 0,994.
