Building of Society on the Basis of “Working with Fragility”

Summary/Abstract: The aim of this paper is to explain the importance of fragility in the process of building of human society as it is found in the pope´s Francis thinking. The study is based on his most important documents. For a more detailed description, it describes different types of fragility in different groups of people. These are the fragility of children and young people, fragility of the elderly, the sick and the fragility of the disabled. A separate part is devoted to the fragility of the family, which is going through a crisis in today’s society, and the importance of working with fragility in building a truly human society is summarised in the conclusion.
