Summary/Abstract: This study captures them based on the pandemic experience of social workers in public administration using word associations, how they perceive the content of words (I, social worker, professionalism) in relation to the performance of the social work profession. The research set included 576 employees of social public administration. This study is part of a research that is based on an extensive quantitative research strategy, the method of data collection was a questionnaire. The word association technique was chosen as the data acquisition technique. Social workers associated three key words (self, social worker, professionalism). Associations associated with them help to identify central tendencies in a group of social workers, associated with associated phenomena. In our research, we found a tendency for high identification with the profession, the profession is perceived from the perspective of help, professionalism is perceived as knowledge, experience and in the context of consulting
