Summary/Abstract: The art of enamel, which is the technique of permanently melting colored glazes on the metal base, has an important place among the decorative arts for over two thousand years. Enamel; In addition to creating a surface texture on metal, it has historically been used as a substitute for gemstones and paintings. Enamel, which is more durable material than paint, is applied to jewelry like an artist painting an oil painting. Many different methods are used in applying and firing enamels to metal bases. The designs and effects that can be created with materials range from patterns to transparent and opaque glazes, from story paintings to abstract compositions. A rich visual depth is achieved by firing glass layers applied on metal, using traditional enamel techniques such as cloisonne (raised cell), champleve (sunken cell), basse taille (low relief), plique a jour (window) and limoges (painting). The study aims to provide design ideas for researchers and craftsmen who are interested in this art by providing guiding information in the application process of the technique and the works of international contemporary artists using different enamel techniques. In the study, guiding information in the application process of the technique and works made by international contemporary artists using different enamel techniques are included. It is aimed to create design ideas for researchers and craftsmen who are interested in this art.
