Summary/Abstract: With the widespread availability of the Internet and the emergence of cloud technology, there have been significant changes in people's cinematic experiences. The ability to store large amounts of data, access text, audio, and visual data simultaneously, and view high resolution images have been sufficient for the film industry to quickly adapt to the digital world During the COVID-19 pandemic, there has been a rapid increase in the number of digital platforms for watching films as people have been required to stay at home. One of the digital film platforms that has become popular in Turkey during this period is MUBI, which was established in 2007 and has members in many countries. Unlike mainstream digital film platforms, MUBI has general features that focus on the content and processes of film festivals that showcase art films. This study examines the relationship between MUBI and face-to-face film festivals based on the general features of the platform that predominantly contains art films. In this period of transformation in which cinema is adapting to the digital age, this research will examine how MUBI has taken shape, how it targets its audience through its form, content, and processes, how it has established a connection with its target audience through socially aware and critical cinema films, and how it contributes to the art and economic aspects of the film industry through face-to-face festivals. The methods of ınterview and discourse analysis were employed in this study. This research aims to fill a significant gap in categorical approaches to digital film platforms and MUBI's place and related topics. According to the research, it can be said that the MUBI digital film platform is a digital model of face-to-face film festivals.
