Summary/Abstract: Turkish embroidery emerged in the historical process of Turkish culture, as a result of their interaction with other cultures and enriching their own cultures, and started to develop together with various handicraft techniques. Turkish embroidery art draws attention as living documents revealing the cultures of different societies. Embroidery made in the dival work technique, which has not lost its importance and preserved its originality from the past to the present, emerges as an embroidery technique that has the most important examples of Turkish embroidery as traditional handicrafts and cultural heritage. The purpose of this research; is to examine the dival work prayer rug samples in Konya Ethnography Museum and to determine their features, morever to analyze the material, color and technical characteristics of the prayer rug samples made in the dival work technique, to determine the motif and composition features, and to reveal the importance of the prayer rug samples in terms of Turkish embroidery art. In this study, first of all, literature review was made and all kinds of sources related to the subject were examined. The samples in the museum were examined, and observation slip forms were prepared to determine the various features of the prayer rugs decorated using the dival work technique. Photographs of prayer rug samples in the museum were taken and necessary information has been received about these artifacts was obtained from museum officials. The information obtained at the end of these processes was analyzed and the result was tried to be reached.
