Summary/Abstract: The impact of social networks on migration and migrant mobility has also affected through the institution of family Syrian migrants who have been living in Turkey for more than ten years. This makes it necessary to seek an answer to the question of how social networks affect family and immigrant life. Research findings on Syrian immigrant families in Turkey on understanding immigrant life and expectations in the context of social network components are still limited. In this respect, it is important to examine the effect of social networks on family structure or the importance of the functions of social networks in terms of social interaction and change processes. In this study, the effects of the role of social networks have been tried to be understood on the migration process within and between countries, immigrant experiences, expectations, and social problems. The research was carried out in Göksu and Fırat neighborhoods of Buca district of İzmir, Türkiye. It is aimed to understand the important features of Syrian family migration through social networks. Thus, it is planned to reveal the social reality in the context of the research theory on Syrian families. The themes of difficulties experienced in the migration process, communication and social expectations were reached in the study.
