Summary/Abstract: Mukabele is one of the figures of speech that beautify the meaning, which is also mentioned as equivalent in the science of bedi'. The source of beauty in the metaphor, which is defined as bringing two or more meanings together and then mentioning the opposite or related meanings of each one respectively, is the syntax harmony between the opposing or compatible meanings. Although it is an independent art of painting, it is seen that it is not discussed under a separate title in rhetoric books. In this study, the definition of mukabele, its classification, and the difference between it and tıbâk/contrast will be discussed and evaluations will be made by giving some examples from the verses of the Holy Quran and the poems of important poets of Turkish literature. We will examine the art of mukabele in terms of the arrangement of words, in the form of compound mukabela and non-composed mukabele, and division based on numbers (two with two, three with three, four with four, five with five, six with six). Our aim is to contribute to a clearer understanding of the nature of response.
