GÜMÜŞHANE VE YÖRESİ AĞIZLARINDAKİ ÜNLÜ UYUMLARI ÜZERİNE BİR İNCELEME
AN ANALYSIS ON VOWEL HARMONIES IN THE DIALECTS OF GÜMÜŞHANE AND ITS REGION

Summary/Abstract: Dialects are of great importance with their phonetic features, morphology, sentence structure and vocabulary. In dialects; it is possible to find archaic structures that are not found in the standard language and the variants of the standard language's vocabulary of that day within the dialects. Dialect features are extremely important for the elucidation of the issues of Turkish language that cannot be attributed to a certain reason thanks to the archaic and special structures they contain. From this point of view, studies on Turkish dialects help many studies on Turkish language. Analyzing the data of dialects can also be considered as a material that will keep the written language alive and dynamic. It is possible to fully reveal the grammatical features of a language not only by being limited to the written language but also by revealing the features of the dialects, which are the lower layers of that language. Considering the fact that languages are constantly developing and renewing themselves, it is of great importance to record some of the sound-shape features in the dialect regions that are likely to be lost or have fallen out of use except for a small region. In this study, the dialects of Gümüşhane and its region, which are at an important point within the dialects of Turkish dialects of Turkey, are discussed. In our study, it is aimed to determine the features of the dialects of Gümüşhane region in the context of vowel harmonies and to analyze the vowel harmonies in today's written language with the material we obtained from the compilations. In this context; It was aimed to determine the vowel harmonies-incompatibilities in the dialects of these regions in Gümüşhane region and the sound changes that cause them as a whole by making compilations from the center, Kürtün, Torul, Köse, Şiran and Kelkit districts.
