Summary/Abstract: Folk songs are one of the most important elements that reflect the cultural characteristics of a society. Considering the intertwined structure of culture and education in social life, it becomes clear that folk songs are an important resource that should be used in educational processes. In this context, the aim of the research is to contribute to the use of folk songs as a teaching material in the violin education process by adapting the folk songs of the Çorum region to the violin and to perform them with universal playing techniques specific to the violin. This research, which shows which technical features of the violin can be used and how, is important in terms of both revealing the necessity of the place of folk songs in the violin education repertoire and pioneering other studies to be carried out in this field. The research is a descriptive research with a survey model. The data was obtained by the source scanning method. Content analysis was used to analyze the data.5 Çorum folk songs were determined as a sample. Various positionings, nuances, right-hand and left-hand playing techniques were included on the folk songs, and violin adaptations of the folk songs were made. It has been determined that the adapted folk songs contain 5 different maqam sequences, have sofyan and nim sofyan patterns, are 6 to 10 voices wide and contain different nuances. In addition, it was concluded that the folk songs generally have 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th position transitions and contain various right hand and left hand techniques.
