Summary/Abstract: Power is a fundamental concept in political science and practice. Politics and power are closely related – the struggle for power is one of the most important aspects in the political life of society. Political science focuses on the functioning of power and political power, in particular – its stability, legitimacy and effectiveness. The paper examines different approaches to clarifying power, the faces (dimensions) of power and the characteristics of political power.
