The Public Man 1970-1980 (attempt in sociotypology of characters)

Summary/Abstract: Our present knowledge of the Slovak cinematographic history is into a great extent shaped thanks to efforts of the group of film scientists (V. MACEK, J. PASTEKOVÁ, M. CIEL, M. SMATLAK, J. MACKO and others) who have within the period of several years after 1989 revolution not only succeeded to systematize the basic cinamatographic knowledge as such, but also have created new conception systems. The kind of films of the previous era which could evoke in spectators enjoyment and entertainment were not found, since the majority of films were normalization ones.This consideration targets on a new assessment of the normalization phenomenon in the Slovak cinematography, mainly in respect of its cynism reflected not only into well-known censorship strategy and supervision over respective film preparatory phases, or into a distribution of particular artists in various areas of production, but it is also reflected in film texts. The spotlight of this consideration represent those films in which linear "realistic" narration is disturbed by complex systems of reminiscenses used in a previous decade, in sixties, to achieve formal effects.
