Summary/Abstract: The CJEU is fully convinced that the use of artificial intelligence take into account the specificities of the judicial field, and, in particular, of judicial activity. Artificial intelligence tools must be adapted to the needs of the judicial activity and not the other way round, hence the prohibition to use those tools that may result in a decision that goes beyond the human reasoning or that may be difficult to justify, which may even lead to a violation of the right to a fair trial. Striking the fair balance between the use of the artificial intelligence and human expertise is the true challenge of the future in which one of the main objectives will be to make judicial proceedings more accessible, more transparent and more efficient.
