Summary/Abstract: The Regional Historical Museum – Pleven preserves documents reflecting the Romanian occupation of the city during the Interallied War in July 1913. Their significance for regional and national history is increased by the fact that besides printed posters and calls to the local population, for the most part, they consist of correspondence (a folder containing 53 sheets) from the correspondence of the Pleven Municipal Administration with the Romanian occupying forces in the city. The presence of Romanian troops on Bulgarian territory during the hot summer of 1913 is a little-known moment in Bulgarian history, which is why the preserved documents in the Regional Historical Museum – Pleven serve as a valuable source for this dramatic episode. They provide, if not a complete, then at least a partial understanding of the actions of the Romanian army in those fateful days for Bulgaria.
