Photography as a prop (of a poem) Dante’s Inferno in (two) Commentaries on photographs by Witold Wirpsza

Summary/Abstract: The article is an analysis of two poetic texts by Witold Wirpsza from the volume Comments onfotografia. The object of inquiry is the status of photography as a prop in Wirpsza’s multimodal con-struction. The similarities between the works were brought out and explained on the assumptionthat in both cases the poet uses references to Dante’s Divine Comedy.
