Some features in selection and artistic style standard of the musical material in the educational - training work for Bulgarian national dance

Summary/Abstract: The article deals with the issues of the correct selection of the musical material bythe choreographer – tutor and its application in the educational training work, forits versatile impact on the students. Special attention is also paid to the interactionbetween music and dance during training and the need for metro-rhythmic basisthat add the final touch to the movements, and they in turn give the vision of themusic. The necessity of elementary musical literacy for understanding the taughtdance material is also analyzed. The close connection with the subject ‘Music’ isstrengthened from the initial stage of training in Bulgarian folk dances.
