Summary/Abstract: The article paints a picture of EU and national competition law be-ing applied since Poland’s accession to the Community/European Union. Asa matter of principle, the article presents legal and axiological arguments forthe obligation of the pro-EU interpretation of national law applicable eitherjointly or independently of the EU competition rules. It proceeds to concludethat the maintenance of formally separate competition rules at the nationaland EU levels, after a period of intensive parallel application and fundamentalconvergence, has lost or will soon lose its raison d’être.
