Summary/Abstract: Medical humanities is an interdisciplinary field that examines health in its broader social, cultural and historic context. Blending clinical studies and social aspects, it makes use of the humanities, arts and social sciences in order to explore, analyse and critically examine the context of illness and health. The introduction of Medical Humanities into the curriculum of Higher Medical Education aims at students' essential education not just training them.
