Summary/Abstract: The protection of the minor through the protection order is an essential legal tool in the prevention of domestic violence and abuse. The national and international legislative framework, the principle of the best interest of the child and the challenges in the effective application of these measures underline the need for inter-institutional collaboration and effective monitoring mechanisms.
