Summary/Abstract: The citizens’ possibility of setting up a juridical entity for collective actions in a domain of interest represents one of the most important aspects of the right of free association, an aspect that gives sense and structure to this right. Non-governmental companies are institutionalized structures, of private nature, that can activate either as informal groups or as legal entities, independent from any public authority. Their goal is neither the political power nor the profit.
