Summary/Abstract: The first series of textbooks for Russian-Slovak sections of bilingual and Slavic high schools in Slovakia was developed in response to a significant shortage of geography, history, and civic education materials in Russian that meet the educational standards set by the Slovak Ministry of Education. The initiative, part of project KEGA no. 021UCM-4/2020, aimed to create comprehensive and methodologically sound textbooks for these subjects. These textbooks were designed with a unified methodological framework, incorporating the latest pedagogical approaches and addressing the specific needs of teachers and students. Each textbook features a visually appealing layout, includes a Russian-Slovak dictionary, and offers various exercises to enhance language and subject knowledge. Additionally, supplementary sections provide interesting facts and QR codes for further learning. The authors aimed to align the materials with modern educational trends and facilitate the dual role of teachers in bilingual sections.
