Summary/Abstract: The paper is devoted to teaching the interpretation of the artistic text in the master’s degree program at the Department of Russian Studies, Faculty of Arts, UCM. In the process of study, we look for the most effective way to bring students to learn about fiction, to help them discover the meaning of the work of art and find its place in the Russian and world artistic heritage. The paper aims to approach the teaching process as a synthesis of the reader’s own experiences and work with relevant scientific resources. The aim of such work is to gain deeper and more professional knowledge of students.
