Summary/Abstract: The article synthesizes Carol Dweck’s Motivation theory concerning the types of motivation and their genesis as well as the groups of students formed accordingly. The focus in this work is placed on the art students with their unconventional nature that goes ‘out of the box’. Because most of them are in the vocal classes for classic, jazz and pop singing, it is of utmost importance for their repertoire in English to master excellent language skills.
