Summary/Abstract: Art song is an indispensable genre in music. Her appearance makes the treasury of world music even more magnificent. This genre gradually reached its peak in the hands of German and Austrian composers during the Romantic period. Their musical works reflect the artistic style and uniqueness of each composer. German and Austrian art songs entered widely in various countries and continue to be transmitted to this day.The present work examines the influence of German and Austrian art songs on Chinese art songs by providing examples accompanied by analyzes of each of the three aspects – text selection, piano accompaniment, and vocal techniques.Art song is an indispensable genre in music.
