Summary/Abstract: The purpose of the survey was to find out respondents’ opinions on the organisation of the EuropeanGames in Krakow. Respondents were asked, among other things, about the benefits of holding such a large andprestigious sporting event in Małopolska, an assessment of the advertising and preparation of Małopolska forthe event, and what the respondents’ preferences were regarding their participation in the Games. The surveywas conducted on a group of 100 people via a google forms provided, which consisted of 14 closed surveyquestions. As the results showed, 25% of the respondents had not heard at all about the planned EuropeanGames in Poland, and more than half of the respondents did not know what investments are planned inMałopolska in connection with the organisation of the Games. The research also showed that, in the opinionof respondents, it was an excellent opportunity to promote the city (73% respondents), while the hosts didnot prepare well for the event and there was too little promotion and advertising to inform about the Gamesbeing organised in Małopolska (55% of respondents). Respondents also noted that the opportunity to organisesuch a prestigious sporting event was not used well, and that the organisers should learn lessons for the futureand prepare better for events of similar stature.
