Summary/Abstract: Anorexia nervosa is a mental disorder in the category of eating disorders, which is characterized by an abnormal reduction in body weight and by a distortion of one's own body image with a prevalent and persistent fear of gaining weight. Considering that anorexia is also a psychiatric condition, the management of these cases requires a multidisciplinary intervention, especially medical, psychological and psychiatric intervention.
