Summary/Abstract: The number of patients with stroke is constantly increasing. The insufficiency of studies in the field of language disorders in neurological conditions led us to establish as a research problem the assessment of language disorders in cerebrovascular accident (CVA). 126 patients with aphasia were included in the experiment. Following the application of the Western Aphasia Battery (WAB) we determined the type and degree of verbal disability. Thus, we approved the WAB test as one of the most effective and objective methods of aphasia evaluation in patients with cerebrovascular accident (CVA).
