Summary/Abstract: In the 21st century, the rise of digital technology has created a new learning environment and opportunities in the teaching-learning process that were not possible in the traditional classroom. A change in pedagogical methodology is taking place, and the role of the teacher is also altering. The teacher of the information society is becoming a mentor who supports the student’s learning and development to acquire competitive, practical knowledge on the job market. Progress cannot be stopped, so it is important for teachers to be open to innovation, and to find ways through which the new tools of the information society (AI-based chatbots, translators, image generators, etc.) can be put to the service of education and teaching, that is to classroom practice.
